Reach out. Ask questions. Seek answers. How to find your inner hero and achieve your personal best…

by Richard Carmichael

If we could end each day knowing that we were a better person today than we were yesterday, wouldn’t that be a nice way to lay our heads to rest? We all have our strengths and our weaknesses, our opportunities and our threats. The truth is all of us could use a little self improvement every now and then. The reality is that many of us think the world would be a better place if only everyone else could change the way they view things and see things our way. I would like to challenge you this year to open up your mind to the possibility that we play an active role in everything that happens in life—in our successes, our failures, our triumphs, our fights and struggles, our victories and our defeats.

“They say that time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself.”

Andy Warhol

The better we are enabled to listen, to learn, to grow, to expose our weaknesses, understand our fears, and our threats, the ones that are real and the ones only we perceive, the better we are enabled to seek out opportunities, to overcome our obstacles and achieve our dreams.

How you live your life is up to you. You can sit around and wait for things to go your way, for the tide to turn, for you to get your big break, or you can take charge and make the changes that are necessary for you to set the stage for the life you want to lead. By being here, you are maybe even without even realizing it, curious about the idea of what it would take to make life better—for you, for your family and for the world you live in.

So, what are you going to do about it? The answer is easier than you think.
